I have used Plaza Lock & Key of Encino for well over 20 years and knew the owner and his wife. Lately, they have been sending Adrian to do the work. Needed the bent deadbolt for my front door replaced.

I was charged for the new deadbolt, charged to rekey the lock, charged $70 for labor and $65 for a trip charge. I was told my bill was $187.56 as Adrian was finishing writing up the paperwork. Wrote him a check and was handed my receipt as he was leaving. It was then that I realized he charged me $45 to replace the batteries on my Wyze lock which I normally do myself. And they were MY batteries that Adrian grabbed out of my hand as I was about to put them in myself.

Evidently Adrian did not learn respect for customers from the owner and his wife. Seems to think it is fair to rip off a 77 year old senior. Called to complain and the lady that answered and the bookkeeper told me the charge was unfair and they would send me a refund of the $45 immediately. Four weeks later and the refund still has not come.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING RIPPED OFF!!!
