Walt came to my home to change a doorknob and lock. Once the original knob was removed, Walt stated in a few different ways that the knob was antique, solid brass and worth hundreds of dollars. My wife, being the good hearted woman she is gave the knob to Walt.
I was upset with her for allowing him to take advantage of her by still charging her $85.00 for a service charge. She asked me not to say anything about it because she was embarrassed that she would allow that. I was glad that I didn’t say anything originally because the check wasn’t cashed right away. I believed Walt was a good guy and was fair in his business practices because he didn’t cash the check. Then, 3 weeks later the check clears. You took advantage of a nice lady and this story will be told.
